Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership in clinical pharmacy practice and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service to ensure competency of practitioners. Supervise clinical training and quality assurance of clinical pharmacy activities and oversee ongoing professional development for Grade 1 and 2 pharmacists.
A clinical load appropriate to the position may also be included.

Essential Criteria:

Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 3 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in clinical pharmacy practice
  • Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in staff supervision and training.
  • Willing to work on weekends, on-call as per departmental rosters
