About the role

Mater Research have an exciting opportunity for an experience Senior Research Assistant to join the Centre for Health System Reform and Integration (CHSRI). This is a full-time (part-time 0.8FTE is potentially negotiable) fixed-term contract (2 years) position based at UQ Herston.

CHSRI undertakes research and policy development work in broad health system reform and integration, partnering with key Centre stakeholders in emerging areas of health care reform implantation research.

Salary range: $77,516 - $83,530 pa (MRI Level 6) plus super plus salary packaging

What you’ll be doing

The role will focus primarily on supporting research and evaluation of General Practice and Health Care Reform Initiatives in collaboration with Primary Health Networks (PHNs) and participating general practices. Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the refinement of research protocols, and the development of supporting study materials, ethics applications, and standard research programs
• Coordinating and managing qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
• Conducting literature searches and reviews
• Assisting with the preparation and dissemination of interim and final reports, papers, manuscripts, and conference presentations
• Assistance with preparation of associated grant applications to obtain research funding
• Other relevant tasks as directed by the research team leader

About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess:

• Completion of a relevant undergraduate degree with documented research training/ experience
• Honours or Master’s degree in a health-related field (desirable)
• Post-graduate health services research qualifications or working towards (desirable)
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Experience with literature review processes
• Experience with Endnote and Qualtrics highly advantageous
