Energy Queensland has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Works Program Data Tools Specialist to be located at any major QLD location, and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.
The role
The Senior Works Program Data Tools Specialist is responsible for leading complex Works Program data and information provision initiatives to create new insight to optimise delivery of Energy Queensland's integrated works program. This requires state-wide and cross-functional consultation with SMEs and Leaders involved in works program delivery to determine requirements, in addition to leading and/or facilitating the delivery of subsequent data modelling, visualisation and deployment activities. This can involve use of core data and visualisation platforms as well as bespoke tools to supplement gaps in core system capability.
The candidate
Critical to your success in the role is your:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Information Technology and/or equivalent demonstrated experience;
- Sound knowledge of ERP/EAM and associated systems used to deliver the program of work;
- Proven track record of commercial judgement and delivering on agreed business outcomes;
- Sound understanding of SAP HANA data model layers, visualisation platforms and availability of Out of the Box (OOTB) data sets;
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development and maintenance of data insight tools and dashboards to support labour, resource and materials forecasting and resource balancing;
- Ability to coach and mentor Operations Data Practitioners in best practice use of visualisation tools to support data analysis.

The position has been evaluated as Professional and Managerial Grade Two (PM2). Remuneration will range from $122,131 - $158,594. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant’s knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.
