Our Exciting Opportunity:

The Site Engineer role plays an important part in supporting the FSO organization to provide services 1 and 2, described above to the rest of Ericsson, by installing and maintaining transmission systems.

In this role, you would:

• Read and understand designs and records
• Physically install optic fiber and radio transmission systems
• Configure and integrate transmission systems
• Perform fault-finding and trouble-shooting as required
• Ensure all completion artefacts are provided and systems are fully completed and accepted
• Align with all quality and HSE requirements while doing the above
• Close out incident tickets
• Install and Maintain transmission systems at the required quality level, in the allocated timeframe, and in the most efficient manner
• Minimal disruptions to existing services

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

• Solid installation, maintenance experience on optic fiber transmission systems, including optic fiber hygiene and, or radio transmission system i.e. microwave systems
• Understanding of mobile networks
• Experience on Ericsson Mini Link and TN equipment
• Able to do sweeps and effectively use test equipment (e.g. Anritsu Site Master)
• Wideband transmission experience
• Optic fiber splicing experience and certification
• Experience installing or maintaining RAN networks / equipment, e.g. RBS
• Experience working on Australian telco networks
• Good understanding of HSE aspects when working at heights and with EME
• it's beneficial if candidate have Working at heights certification
• Able to work alone with effectively with culturally diverse workforce
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Be self-motivated with Good interpersonal skills
• Good verbal communication skills
