Job description
The Site Lead will be responsible for all operations within a site for Flexcar. As a senior market leader, you will have the grit and focus to oversee both the inbound and outbound procedures for a variable-sized fleet. You take ownership of all site activities and processes. You will dive deep on metrics with the site team, such as service inventory, dwell time, and number of unique vehicles to achieve targets. You will be customer obsessed by thinking through the customer's point of view when creating processes. You will raise the bar on our quality standards to ensure we consistently exceed our customers' expectations. You will act with integrity by building high-performing field teams committed to operational excellence and doing what is right for the business and our customers. You deliver results by being hard on process, not on people. You effectively work cross-functionally with key stakeholders by debating openly, and committing fully.
The Site Lead will report to the Regional Director – Operations.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of all site metrics, including available inventory, unique sku count, unavailable percentage, service inventory, inventory dwell time, registration hold, and other relevant metrics.
- Prioritizes needs of the business and works through team to accomplish goals.
- Responsible for keeping market staffed appropriately to fulfill business demand.
- Creates business cases to justify site expenses and/or services.
- Pivot quickly to changing business demands.
- Build relationships with vendors to drive costs down and improve turnaround times.
- Pilot new initiatives and provide constructive feedback to leadership teams.
- Build reports to showcase site metrics and create action plans to bridge any gaps.
- Provide feedback to both managers and front-line team members regularly, both positive and developmental.
- Entrepreneurial ownership, driven by a sense of urgency, with the ability to prioritize and balance critical workstreams.
- Owns the P&L for the site, proposes ways to increase site profitability.
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of operations management background, preferably in vehicle operations/service.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management preferred but not required.
- Understanding of 6S and Gemba methodology.
- Understanding of basic EH&S practices, and how to drive/implement them in a site.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a high visibility role.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as facilities, real estate, and product teams to drive site efficiency and cost effective.
- Prior P&L ownership experience preferred.
- Flexibility to workdays, evenings, weekends and some holidays
- Willingness to work outdoors (weather and other conditions vary)
- Ability to carry tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
