Position Summary
Social Work Manager
Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Social Worker to join the Social Work team on a Full Time on going basis.
Reporting to the General Manager Ambulatory Services this role plays an important role in the complex patient management and discharge process at Latrobe Regional Hospital.
The successful applicant will:
  • Be a demonstrated team player with a high level of leadership ability and a 'can do' attitude
  • Provide a commitment to customer service whilst practising in a flexible and ethical manner
  • Have a high level of decision making skill
  • Have the ability to resource and coordinate service provision across numerous clinical areas

Selection Criteria
Essential: Hospital experience as a senior social worker
Essential: Have and be able to demonstrate high level knowledge relevant legislations and policies and their application to Social Work practice.
Essential: Demonstrate ability to access relevant legislative changes and to support implementation using a change management process.
Essential: Demonstrate commitment to value based leadership.
Desirable: Have experience in people management; orientation, mentoring, supervision and performance management.
