An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and adaptable Grade 1 Social Worker, to join our established and supportive team at the North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre, in a part-time capacity (19 hours/week).

As a Social Worker your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive psychosocial assessment, timely intervention and contributing towards the holistic discharge planning of patients within a rehabilitation setting
  • Participation in clinical supervision, program development and quality improvement initiatives

Healthscope’s Victorian Rehabilitation Hospitals encompasses three rehabilitation facilities located across the Melbourne Metropolitan region: Dorset Rehabilitation Centre (Pascoe Vale), North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre (Ivanhoe) and The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre (Glen Waverley). Our programs have a reputation for high quality and patient-focused care, across a range of rehabilitation specialties. Our sites offer a friendly and supportive staff environment, with our established multidisciplinary teams servicing both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.

Selection Criteria:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work
  • Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting (as a student or clinician) desirable
