About The Role

We are building the next digital generation platform for lotteries & keno retail.

We have a modern technology stack (React, Adobe Experience Manager, Rest APIs, etc) and are building something incredible that will shape the future of gaming in Australia.

We're evolving ways of working to incorporate best practices globally into a small high performing product delivery team.

We are pushing the boundaries of quality engineering practices with a heavy focus on automation.

Your role will drive continuous improvement in people, process and technology. You will lead, mentor and coach your team to ensure the delivery of high quality technology solutions, and drive consistency across the Technology business.

What you’ll do

You will plan, design, coordinate and execute high quality technology solutions. You will also act as a mentor for junior developers.

What you’ll bring to the Retail Terminals (Next Gen) team

• Strong technical leadership experience across multiple delivery teams
• Strong front end development experience with modern javascript frameworks (React preferable)
• Strong integration experience with API backends (API Gateways, REST web services, GraphQL, etc)
• Strong experience with continuous delivery practices such as CI, automated testing and continuous deployment
• Good coaching and mentoring experience with other software engineers
• Good experience leading technology strategy and best practices across multiple delivery teams
• Good experience integrating with enterprise platforms (identity management, api gateway, third party systems, etc)
• General understanding of Architecture and Design Patterns such as MVVM, Coding Conventions, Human Interface Guidelines
• Working knowledge of OWASP top10 & secure development practices
• Good understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Good understanding of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Working knowledge of GIT
