ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Engineering/Solution Lead takes a hands-on approach to leading a high-performing team of technology specialists to build and release assets and technology approaches for an assigned agile delivery team.

As a Solution Lead, your role is to implement and continuously improve the development practices of the teams and the maturity and responsiveness of the software delivery process.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the application design, development and testing and release of software in your team
• Direct line management of a group of up to 10 engineers
• Responsible for the recruitment, engagement and performance of the group
• Provides leadership, mentoring and development opportunities for that group

Technical Domain

The technology stack is completely hosted on AWS or cloud SaaS, running Java backend services in Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes, using Jenkins CI/CD and using React, React Native, and Contentful CSM for the web apps and mobile app. This role will work within a team that focuses primarily on react web applications, Contentful CMS content and backend for front end APIs.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Extensive software architecture experience, with a proven track record in a manager role (people management)
• Strong software developer with significant technical contributions to shipping products (APIs, Web services, Web applications, etc)
• Experience with software detailed design
• Extensive experience with leading technologies enabling DevOps (CI/CD)
• Extensive experience with API management concepts and capabilities (Security, Authentication, Policies, REST service design principles, Git)
• Proven track record in using agile methodologies and delivering shipping product
• Hands-on experience working in a cloud environment
• Industry certifications in AWS cloud are highly desirable
• Experience working in agile environment preferably in an enterprise, e.g. large agile transformations and frameworks gained from practical experience

• A degree in an IT, business analysis or related discipline
