The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth of FanDuel where we’ve seen an unprecedented demand for live betting, which is responsible for ~40% of turnover.

About the role

Reporting into the Team Lead, this role will have a key focus on NBA and other pro US Sports. As such it is imperative that candidate have an understanding and appreciation of the overall US sporting landscape. You will use statistical models for live sports trading and also be required to price up markets and manage the groups liabilities and risk position on NBA Markets, but there will be opportunities to expand into live trading of the other major US sports such as NFL & MLB.

Key responsibilities include:

• Trading and driving automated odds and managing market risk for NBA games.
• Monitoring customer activity and betting patterns and providing feedback to senior Traders.
• Continuously monitor and respond to sports information.
• Monitor competitor markets and react accordingly to any extraordinary market moves.
• Pricing Player Props and be first to market on events

The FanDuel team at Sportsbet adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff, however there is a requirement for weekend work. Shifts will generally fall between 8am – 6.30pm.

About You

We are looking for some who has:

• An in-depth knowledge of US Sports with a passion for NBA – show us this in your application!
• An understanding of betting and statistics with a flair for probability
• Strong written, verbal communication and research skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work well with numbers and be proficient in excel
