The Job in a Nutshell:

The Senior FP&A Analyst II will be a key contributor to investment and financial analyses, the budget and forecast processes, monthly and quarterly financial reporting, and other special projects. This position will provide support to management including preparing analyses, presentations, and other projects. This position has the opportunity to develop into a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager role by demonstrating proficiency in the activities below. This is a Hybrid position and requires 2 days working in the office.

Main Ingredients:

• Provide concise, accurate, accountable, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including C-Suite level. Recommendations are data-driven and may heavily influence decisions.
• Leverage understanding of financial statements to create and maintain logically structured financial models; use best practices for data handling and model creation/evolution. Some analysis models are already well-defined, while other models will be new and/or complex.
• Take ownership of analysis requirements, including setting deadlines, collecting and analyzing the right data, and effectively communicating key insights.
• Preparation of reporting and presentation materials for delivery to senior level management.
• Analyzes financial performance by compiling data and monitoring trends from various data sources.
• Responsible for major elements of the financial close process including reporting, variance analysis, and communicating results.
• Work closely with Accounting and department heads during pre-close meetings.
• Lead meetings that communicate financial performance to Accounting/Finance, and supported departments.
• Provide strong business partnering and financial leadership to the supported departments; understand the business issues facing the organization and provide financial alternatives.
• Participate in the annual budget process and periodic forecasts, including working with department heads to determine necessary budget needs and forecast adjustments. Lead budget and forecast development for select expenses.
• Evaluate, implement, and refine systems and processes, including budgeting, planning, reporting, and analytical tools. Anticipate process obstacles and formulate solutions/strategies to mitigate.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis requests.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President, Treasurer and Senior Manager of FP&A.

• Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to constantly sit, use fine motor manipulations, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
• Must be able to frequently grip, bend, twist, and turn.
• Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, squat, kneel, and reach above chest as needed.

Environmental Requirements:

• Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
