Staff Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This position reports directly to the Controller and will be responsible for the oversight and processing of the accounting functions for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of financial statements.
- Prepare month-end journal entries.
- Review of fixed assets.
- Review and reconciliation of inventory.
- Review and reconciliation of inter-company transactions.
- Prepare account reconciliations, identifying and explaining outstanding items.
- Other general accounting duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Ability to analyze, trouble shoot, and develop resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with raw materials and finished goods inventories preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Quick books preferred.
- Team player attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Experience in transportation or related fields a plus.
