The role:

This important role will work within the Student Engagement Team helping support students across their studies to maximize their opportunities for completion of the qualification that they are studying.

As the Student Engagement Officer, you’ll be reviewing student training activity, including apprentice and trainee training activity, and working with the Student Engagement Team Leader to ensure all evidence of participation is accurately demonstrated within student files and is accurately reported within the student management system (VETtrak).

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual who has a keen eye for detail, high level customer service skills and holds a good working knowledge of supporting students aligned with compliance and data reporting requirements in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

About you?

To succeed in this role, you will be a strong communicator with a can-do attitude solid experience in compliance, data quality or RTO administration within an RTO or similar business supporting students towards their success.

Key Skills, experience & Qualifications:

• Hold operational knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 (RTO Standards) in relation to student progress and data reporting.
• Hold operational knowledge of requirements in relation to educational funding contract obligations and particularly those in relation to apprenticeship and traineeship students.
• Proven ability to effectively work within a customer service or call centre environment, preferably within the VET sector
• Ability to meet ASQA Fit & Proper persons requirements
• Strong data quality and administration experience, including a proven record of meeting and exceeding targets/KPIs
• Experience using a student management system – VETtrak (highly desired)
• Able to effectively engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
• Qualifications in business administration, quality auditing or similar will be highly regarded

Our student engagement team members work varied hours therefore availability between 8:30 am – 6:00 pm Monday to Friday may be required.
