We are looking for an experienced, lead by example, enthusiastic Manager to join our family owned and run supermarket.

We strive to exceed our customers’ expectations through our fresh food offers, staff, customer service and range of products.

Applicants will be required to have: -

  • Supermarket management experience and a passion for the industry
  • Have a strong moral work ethic with a mature outlook
  • Have skills in merchandising, stock control, ordering and replenishing stock
  • Team leadership skills with a lead by example approach
  • Show a strong focus on customer service
  • A strong understanding of current supermarket business practices
  • Sound understanding of retail sales and ability to gain product knowledge quickly
  • Good oral English communication skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic personality

  • Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Keep updated on product knowledge
  • Serve customers in a friendly manner
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in POS operation and cash handling
  • Maintain high level of cleanliness of register and supermarket areas.
  • Provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide a customer service beyond customer expectations
  • Know the product range and deliver fast knowledgeable service
  • Awareness of all stock levels and movement within the store including regular spot checks through register reporting.
  • Resolving customer complaints to the customer’s satisfaction within your level of authority and seeking advice where required from management.
  • Adhere to standards in relation to personal grooming and uniform presentation.

The Manager will be responsible for managing the stores KPI's, overseeing stock management, controlling shrinkage, GP margins, maximising merchandising opportunities and have a hands-on approach.

The successful applicant will contribute to the growth/success of our store and will be directly responsible for all aspects of the day to day running. The successful applicant needs to enjoy working in a results-based environment and have . They should be able to demonstrate the ability to manage both staff and stock and will be working closely with our Operations Managers.

Requirements: -

  • Current Police Clearance
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Current Forklift Certificate, preferable

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $59,847.74 – $156,576.28 per year

Schedule:

  • Public holidays
  • Rotating roster
  • Weekend availability

  • Albany, WA 6330: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Supermarket Management: 3 years (Preferred)
