About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for two Supervisors to join Zinfra. In this position you will be responsible for supervising our Substations or Testing Field Services groups working on the United Energy contract. You will supervise a team of internal employees and contractors to allow for efficient delivery of allocated programs of work within time and cost budgets while managing risks to ensure total asset performance and safety objectives are met.
About the role
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects within the work team
- Communicate and empower personnel to deliver outstanding performance in all KRA's
- Lead by example and mentor consistently the culture and behaviours required to deliver “game-breaking” performance.
- Manage and motivate direct reports and indirect reports to ensure all work is delivered to the specified scope, time frame, allocated budget and quality
- Operational decision making, balancing customer service delivery, regulatory and other commercial requirements often within tight or crisis (i.e. emergencies and outages) timeframes and conflicting priorities;
- Willingness to accept autonomy, responsibility and accountability; and
- Ability to make “best for Zinfra” decisions while still ensuring the provision of excellent customer service and maintaining quality of delivery
- Efficient delivery of works by ensuring KPI's for Productivity and Utilisation are met and where possible exceeded
About you
- Trade qualification (desirable)
- Proven ability to drive a safety culture and implement improved safety processes, systems & programs to ensure the effective delivery of work
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships
- Strong Fault and Emergency Response experience
- Effective cost centre management within approved budget guidelines
- Electricity Network experience (desriable)
- Demonstrated competency in utilisation of resources and match the capability and capacity of the workforce and physical resources for the delivery of issued work
- Experience in planning and strategy
- Strong safety leadership skills
The selected candidate will have the ability to learn and develop policies and procedures while being able to consistently meet deadlines. With highly developed written and verbal communication skills, this person will also be analytical, conceptual and have strong problem solving capability as well as the ability to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
