We are currently seeking a number of casual support workers for shifts on the South side of Brisbane. Candidates living in the Mt Gravatt, Sunnybank, Capalaba and Parkinson areas will be central to a number of shifts in the surrounding suburbs.

As a Support Worker in this specialised program, you will be providing basic care to people who may not have the ability to do their day-to-day tasks. Your assistance will help people maintain or regain their independence at home. In-home tasks may include household chores, meal preparation, basic personal care, and helping to manage household paperwork etc. It may also include assisting people to access the community to do shopping, recreational activities, health appointments etc.

In this role you do not need to have any prior experience - you will be provided all the training and support you need. It is a fabulous opportunity for people looking to start in Disability Services, or pick up some extra work around school/study commitments or looking to move out of industries where weekend work is required.

To succeed in this role you must:

• enjoy helping others
• be personable, able to build rapport with new people
• have a positive mindset
• have good computer and literacy skills
• have a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• have your own vehicle that is fully comprehensively insured, and has had a service in the last year
• Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License
• hold a current Blue and Yellow Exemption Card / NDIS Workers Screening, or have the ability to obtain prior to commencement (we will pay for these if you don't have them)
• have 2 Covid vaccinations
