The Role
This is an exciting role as a Consultant wanting to grow their career and skills with our Sustainability and Climate Change team in Melbourne. As part of a growing team, you will help clients develop and deliver strategies, processes and programs to be more sustainable and manage the climate risks to their businesses and projects across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
We’re looking for a passionate, technically astute, and collaborative individual on a permanent basis.
Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:
- Execute high-quality sustainability and climate change analyses, assessments, strategy development and provide recommendations for clients, based on the best and latest science, methods, tools, and approaches.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings that are engaging and achieve the client’s objectives
- Communicate findings and recommendations in clear and engaging ways.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and explore new opportunities.
- Lead and/or contribute to multiple projects concurrently.
- Committed to a culture of continuous learning and seeks opportunities to stretch and develop capability.
What we are looking for:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a focus on sustainability and/or decarbonisation strategy development and implementation, or physical climate change risk analysis and adaptation planning.
- A degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Science or similar
- Applied knowledge of environment and sustainability standards (e.g. ISO14001, 14064), sustainability frameworks (e.g. GRI, TCFD) and/or rating tools (e.g. ISC) is desirable
- Excellent communication and analytical skills and an attention to detail
- The ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment coupled with strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
- A self-motivated individual that enjoys working in a collaborative and delivery focused environment
