About the Role

As the Team Leader for In Room Dining, you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient supervision of the department according to the established brand standards of Hyatt International.

Working amongst a team of 10, you will support the Assistant Manager in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your Hospitality career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Conducting pre-shift briefings
• Provide leadership to a diverse team
• Deliver and present In Room dining and amenities to guest rooms in a timely manner
• Provide personalized service to all guests
• Removal of serving trays and collection of breakfast orders
• Assist with creating and communicating the rosters and delegation of tasks and responsibilities
• Provide training and onboarding support for new associates within the department
• Monitor operation supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage
• Ensure all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times
• Liaising with all necessary departments to ensure the productivity of the outlet is successful in its daily operations
• Opening, setting up and closing of the outlet per shift

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory/managerial experience in a similar role or fast-paced environment would be advantageous
• A current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• People management and interpersonal skills along with strong communication skills
• The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
