Yurika has multiple opportunities in our Energy & Infrastructure team for either Transmission or Distribution Linespersons, and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.

These are Brisbane based roles with extensive travel requirements within Australia (fly in, fly out / drive in, drive out). Appointment will be on a 9-day fortnight, however applicants must be prepared to work away from home on a 10/4 fortnightly roster as needed on a project-by-project basis, working a reasonable amount of overtime as required.

The role:

Linespersons perform construction, maintenance and repair of low voltage and/or high voltage assets on electricity transmission or distribution systems, to successfully deliver on Yurika projects located across Australia as required including private electricity networks, equipment and assets.

The candidate:

Critical to your success in the role is your:

• Trade qualification as an Electrical Linesperson and possessing a current Australian electrical linesperson licence (preference will be given to candidates with qualifications and experience in Transmission);
• General Construction Induction card;
• Current C class open drivers licence;
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability in the construction and maintenance of an electricity distribution/transmission system.

It is also highly desirable that you have:

• Current ‘MR’ or ‘HR’ class drivers licence;
• Current high risk work licence to operate Elevated Work Platform vehicle;
• Current competencies in First Aid, CPR, Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue, Pole Top Rescue, and Safe Work at Heights;
• Current S11 Generic Coal Induction – Surface;
• Working knowledge of Energy Queensland and Yurika policies, procedures and safe work practices.
