AT A GLANCE
RVO Health is looking for a dynamic leader to help define, implement and strengthen our security systems, processes, and strategies. This leader will be responsible for evolving and driving our security strategy across our products, corporate systems and third-party SaaS applications to and enable our ability to serve our partners and consumers securely.
Our ideal candidate will be strong technically and look for opportunities to partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges and problem solve around them. Experience in modern SaaS/cloud-based infrastructure will be valuable, especially if the candidate has successfully coordinated, scaled, managed, and secured large-scale infrastructure and applications with proactive strategies and roadmap vision.
You will partner with senior leadership across RVO Health to gain alignment and drive forward a strategy and operating model for the Security organization. This will involve identifying and acquiring the vital people, process, and technology best suited to improve RVO Health's security posture.
This role is eligible for relocation assistance, should this candidate reside outside of the Charlotte metro area.
What You'll Do
- Define and implement effective security practices and initiate and maintain major security & compliance initiatives
- Partner with senior leadership and engineering leadership to build robust security roadmaps and plans that embed security into the fabric of all that we do.
- Build a talented and empowered security team that operates across all areas of the company
- Lead the Security Operations, GRC, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Security Engineering teams.
- Create security and risk management goals and strategies, define metrics, and provide regular updates on progress and challenges.
- Increase company-wide knowledge and awareness of key security concepts by developing training and awareness programs for our employees.
- Own multi-year cybersecurity roadmap and key performance indicators focused on reducing risk.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and trust and become known as a trusted partner to the business
What We're Looking For
- At least 10 years of security experience
- At least 5 years of senior leadership experience including previous roles as VP of Security or CISO
- History of building talented dispersed teams
- Ability to successfully lead risk management, information security, and engineering teams that use cloud technologies and SaaS tooling including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- History of leading teams in heavily regulated industries such as Health and Financial.
- Experience with compliance and certification programs such as ISO, GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC II.
- Domain expert on the threat landscape and innovative security strategies and products
- "Hands-on" operating style and approach but a view towards the future and willingness to invest in people development and in developing an organization that will support this joint venture.
- Proven experience as a business-focused, change-driven, credible leader in a fast-growing company
- Expertise in understanding sophisticated technology & applying it in a practical way to build solutions
Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Starting Salary: $200,000-275,000 *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
