The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) was formed on 1 January 2019. The role of the Commission is to protect and enhance the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life of people receiving aged care.The Commission is the national end-to-end regulator of aged care services and the primary point of contact for consumers and providers in relation to quality and safety. Our vision is to support a world-class aged care system driven by empowered consumers who enjoy the best possible quality of life.Position DescriptionTo provide administrative support to the Sector Education team for the coordination and delivery of Sector Education events.Position Duties• General Administration: Provide general administrative support across the team, including data entry, travel and accommodation booking, communication support for events, maintenance of data management systems including event feedback• Event Administration: Provide administrative support for the delivery of educational activities including virtual workshops and face-to-face events, to meet the needs of the aged care sector and support the Commission’s vision, values and objectives• Coordination and delivery: provide administrative support to the Sector Education team to execute and deliver planned events by focusing on planning, registration, documentation and any set up so that events are well organised and executed • Data management and entry of activities, registrations and scheduling into event management system database and education schedule• Financial Administration: Monitor and process Sector Education event invoices, reconcile with finance and ensure they are controlled and within APS and Commission policies and guidelines. • Relationship Management: Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain positive working relationships, respond to all enquiries and requests in a positive and timely manner.• Adhere to the APS Values and Code of ConductKey Relationships: Internal: • Director, Sector Education• Assistant Director, Sector Education• Executive Director, Sector Capability• Sector Education team• Learning and Development team• Communications team• Finance teamExternal: • Event participants • External suppliers • General publicFinancial Accountabilities: Not applicablePeople Accountabilities: Not applicableKey Selection Criteria• Experience in all areas of administration• Microsoft skills e.g.

Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint• Capacity to manage internal and external stakeholders• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships• Effective organisational and time management skills to plan and deliver identified priorities• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision to meet set timeframes and work outputs• Effective problem solving and communication skillsPosition Notes Salary offered will be between $72,331 and $76,427 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.The position is expected to commence in early November 2022.Only candidates who hold Australian citizenship can apply.
