What We Do
At 877-WE-BUY-SCRAP our goal is to breed successful leaders, expand into new territories, and change the way people think about scrap metal recycling. Based in Plymouth, Michigan, we provide scrap metal recycling and removal services throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Our recycling business consists of picking up ferrous and non-ferrous metal and recyclables from our clients, where we then take it back to the warehouse to be sorted, sold, and reprocessed. Our fun and personalized approach makes working with the 877-WE-BUY-SCRAP team a great opportunity on the road, on the jobsite, and in the warehouse. Responsibilities Include:
We are recruiting motivated individuals to join our team! Candidates must be customer service driven, energetic, and physically fit. As a general labor and shop worker you will be responsible for processing internal customer’s ferrous or non-ferrous metal material according to the established strategy of the purchasing department. You will sort and dispose of items responsibly through our organized recycling facilities.
‒ Full Time: 5 shifts per week 8 - 10 hrs. per day
‒ Unloading and separating scrap metal
‒ Shop maintenance
‒ Knowledge of basic tools
‒ Ability to maintain relationships with vendors
‒ Knowledge of basic power tools
‒ Pallet Jack & Hilo ability preferred, but we are willing to train
‒ General knowledge of safety procedures
‒ Ready to work indoors and outdoors
Skills Needed:
‒ Positive, friendly attitude and good communication skills
‒ Physically fit and able to lift 100lbs+ repeatedly via dolly and 50lbs by hand
‒ Willingness and ability to learn quickly
‒ Basic Math and Computer Skills
‒ Ability to multi-task
