An exciting opportunity exists for a professional with a passion for recruitment and workforce planning. Full time until 30 June 2023.

The Western Public Health Unit (WPHU) based at Sunshine Hospital is seeking applications for a newly created position that will build and maintain the unit's workforce to meet the expanding role of Local Public Health Units to respond to health protection and health promotion in the region.

The Workforce Planning Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordination of the unit’s changing workforce. The role works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support processes to build the public health team to deliver health protection and health promotion services to the WPHU catchment. The position will be required to provide both a strategic and operational focus to workforce planning and recruitment.

The Western Public Health Unit has been established to strengthen the public health response to infectious diseases and other health issues. The Unit is part of a system of three metropolitan Public Health Units, Western (WPHU), North-eastern (NEPHU), South-eastern (SEPHU) and six regional Public Health Units providing a state-wide system of public health delivery and oversight.
