As an intern in Macquarie Asset Management, you will be part of a global, full-service asset manager, providing investment solutions to clients across a range of capabilities, including infrastructure, renewables, real estate, agriculture, transportation finance, equities, fixed income, private credit, and multi-asset solutions.
The program
Our ten-week internship program will provide you with hands-on experience in the world of investment management. The program kicks off with an orientation providing you with the opportunity to learn about the Macquarie business groups, meet fellow interns and expand your network.
On the desk, you’ll be given meaningful and challenging work allowing you to gain practical experience to tie into your theoretical knowledge from school. You will receive support from your managed and aligned mentor. And additionally, participate in social events to connect you to our inclusive culture. To conclude your summer, you will present a project that you worked on during the program to senior management.
Your role
As an intern with our Investment Research team, you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience preparing sector or product overviews and stock presentations. You will perform bottom-up, fundamental analysis of public companies/bond issues within assigned industry, specific subset of companies, and/or for assigned product. You will collaborate with investment professionals to cultivate investment process and philosophy. You will also leverage the Ivy-Delaware brand to forge relationships with companies and sell side analysts for your area of coverage. You will be treated as part of the team and will attend applicable meetings, with the possibility to participate in sell-side meetings.
About you

This internship is for MBA candidates or Master degree students graduating in 2024 with a specialization in investment management. Students with CFA accreditation or those that have a CFA designation will be particularly well-suited for this role.
You are a critical thinker with strong qualitative and analytical skills who can articulate their thoughts and ideas clearly. You like to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong working relationships.
With a strong interest in investment management, you bring a proactive, resourceful and positive attitude as well as a powerful work ethic. You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.
