As the Principal Contractor for the Naval Communications Station Harold E Holt (NCSHEH) located in Exmouth, Western Australia, Raytheon Australia provides services for the maintenance and operation of critical defence infrastructure including the Space Surveillance Telescope, Very Low Frequency (VLF) Communications Transmitter and C-Band Radar Tracking Radar.

To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Janitor who is ready to join a diverse, talented and enthusiastic team of tradespersons in Exmouth, Western Australia.

Reporting to the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor you will be responsible for day to day janitorial services including internal & external facility cleaning, ablution cleaning and kitchen cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning duties to ensure that areas are maintained in a clean and hygienic state.
• Maintain cleaning frequencies as directed
• Ensure storage areas are kept neat and tidy; material safety data sheets to be displayed if required.
• Plan activities including tools, equipment, assistance and materials needed to complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
• Liaise with others to notify and organise tasks to be undertaken as required.
• Use computer systems to record and plan work tasks.
• Adhere to established policy and procedures.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience checking and making minor adjustments to work methods to solve routine problems in current work processes and systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of safe handling and work practices especially as they pertain to various cleaning agents.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks.
• Experience working under moderate supervision, seeking advice of more senior personnel in the same area as required.
• Ability to highlight areas of concern/problems and suggest solutions to direct supervisor, as appropriate.
