The Position:
We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced Emergency Consultants to provide specialist emergency services to adult and Paediatric patients. Our consultants will promote patient quality and safe care and provide leadership, training, supervision, mentorship and education to doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers.

Emergency Department:
48 clinical treatment bays, including 3 resuscitation bays
separate Paediatric assessment unit
12 bed ED short stay unit
48-bed department
75,000 presentations per year with an admission rate of approximately 30%.
FACEM-lead team-based care.

The successful candidate will have:

• Fellowship of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility for full registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine.
• Demonstrated substantial clinical experience in the management of high acuity patients in a complex hospital environment, including Paediatrics.
• Evidence of career long education and professional development
• Demonstrated experience in teaching at registrar or fellowship level.
• Be enthusiastic and passionate about Emergency Medicine in a supportive environment

Salary - $319,756.00 to $420,740.00

With a total of 367 beds, 307 for public patients and 60 for private patients, the hospitals will be conveniently located within one complex, bringing health care closer to home. The public hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities will deliver newer and expanded services than those currently provided.
