We are looking for an enthusiastic professional Design Engineer to join our Waverley Major Projects team located in the heart of Bondi Junction. Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing survey and design documents and estimates for projects to ensure Council’s Strategic Asset Management Plan is implemented.

To be successful in this role you will need to provide end to end design service, from survey and concept design, detail design, construction documentation, through to construction phase supervision in line with engineering guidelines and Council standards and preparing design documentations (including plans, long-sections and cross-sections) and cost estimates for roads, footpaths, kerb & gutters, traffic and stormwater drainage assets. You must have advanced computer skills in 12D and CIVIL3D, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as part of a team. A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or an associated discipline is essential.
