The Role
Our client prides themselves in operating at peak efficiencies & gaining continuous improvement with recent acquisitions in breeding genetics, machinery and yard facilities to support best practice management and modern technology.
Progressive, dynamic and forward thinking – due to growth the owners require a Farm Hand / Senior Farm Hand to assist with angus cattle, prime lamb and cropping operations over the approx. 5,000Ha aggregation.
The role will suit an enthusiastic, self-sufficient person with a level of cattle, sheep and/or cropping experience.
Experience helps, but the owners are wise enough to identify energy, ability and attitude. As such those not necessarily overly experienced in all areas but with the right attitude and are keen to learn and be trained are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Input of data to AgriWebb software
- Sheep & Cattle livestock management
- Cropping operations & chemical application
- Fencing & property maintenance
- Mechanical maintenance, welding an advantage but not essential
- Tech savvy or ability to learn (AgriWebb & John Deere GreenStar)
- Interest in working with cattle and sheep
- General farm management skills including fencing
- Strong observation and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative
- Well organised, efficient & like to work in a clean environment
- Non-smoker
- Southern Tablelands, New South Wales.
- Remuneration package depending on experience of applicant (incl. newly renovated 3-bedroom house + power + internet)
