The Role
The ALS Geochemistry business in Malaga is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to take over a recently vacated role.
This position will be a Full-Time role and will include the following responsibilities:
- Manage staffing levels including leave, casual hours and maintaining a functional Sample Receipt team.
- Staff management including performance management, PMR’s and dealing with any problems that arise
- Sorting, packing, labelling and distributing samples for pick up.
- Coordinating dispatch of client samples to ALS Geochemistry laboratories, including liaising with laboratory staff when urgent samples are received.
- Ensuring sample deliveries and COC's are reviewed, labelled, and distributed within designated timeframes and according to client needs and approved sample receipt procedures
- Maintaining sample storage and disposal by following safe work practices.
- Retrieving samples for clients and laboratory when requested.
- Receiving and distributing stock and maintaining stock levels.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- Experience in managing a small team or taking the lead in your current area
- A positive, responsive customer focus and quality service attitude with a professional attitude.
- Superior attention to detail and a commitment to completing high-quality work
- Good computer literacy skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel and Word).
- Ability to process multiple concurrent requests efficiently and accurately
- Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information
