About the Role

The Maternity Unit Manager holds a key leadership & management role within the Hospital and is accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the department. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department. The role requires working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. Nurse Unit Managers will work closely with the Executive team to shape organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.

About You

Essential Criteria

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
• A minimum of five years post registration experience in Midwifery that demonstrates advanced clinical skills across the scope of Glengarry midwifery services.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
• Previous experience in management of change processes, risk management and quality improvement processes
• Experience leading a clinical team
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Alibility to apply research findings to clinical practice.

Desirable Criteria

• Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications
• Evidence of prior service delivery planning and research projects.
• Sound computer skills using MS Office programs, including Excel

Remuneration

Nurse Unit Manager; $115,509.04 - $129,685.59 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA SRN1-6)

• Assistance with relocation costs may be available for interstate and international applicants.
