Leader Heights Eye Center is a highly rated ophthalmology/optometry office located in South York. Our ophthalmologist has been voted "Best in York County" in 2021 and 2022.
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to help us provide patients with excellent care. The Ophthalmic Assistant helps patients by assisting during patient exams, performing preliminary tests and assisting with patient education.

As an Ophthalmic Assistant you:

• Take patient history, past medical history, allergies, social history, and medication list
• Accurately enter patient information in electronic health records
• Measure near/distance visual acuity
• Give patients eye drops
• Record phone messages, prescriptions, etc. in the electronic health records
• Precertification of tests and surgical procedures
• Answering telephones
• Assist with contact lens orientations
• Order supplies
• Cleaning and sterilizing supplies, rooms, and equipment
• Performing visual field tests, corneal topography, IOL master, OCTs, pachymetry, OSM and fundus photography, but not interpreting results.

The ideal candidates will have:

• An associate degree.
• A minimum of 1 year of Ophthalmology experience.
• Typing speed of 40 WPM or better.
• Be available to work Thursdays until 5:45 pm.
