We are currently looking to engage a Structural Project Engineer to join our Victorian team and commence working in our SPA project team. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria's history.
The opportunity
Our Building Structures group are a specialist team renowned for their innovation in structural engineering and cutting-edge BIM project execution across complex building structures and infrastructure projects, with offices right across Australia. We operate as a highly autonomous and genuinely national team. The ability to grow and develop as a Building Structures team member at WSP are unparalleled in the market.
This role will see you working on as part of our talented SPA project team.
- Supporting timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical and regulatory standards;
- Establishing effective stakeholder relationships, both internally, and externally including clients, architects and builders;
- Supporting and guiding junior engineers with technical matters, and;
- Embodying enthusiasm to work as part of a collaborative, national team within a multidisciplinary design setting.
What we'll love about you
- Bachelor to Master level degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural Engineering);
- Circa 4 to 7+ years’ experience on large Australian building structures engineering projects;
- Exposure across a range of building sectors, e.g. transport, defence, health, commercial and education
- Capacity to work in a team to deliver medium-scale projects and independently manage small-scale projects;
- Track record of collaborating effectively with other engineering disciplines on projects;
- Well versed in liaising effectively with external stakeholders;
- Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and;
- Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit Structure would be advantageous.
