General Health are recruiting a Registered Nurse to work in Tennant Creek, NT
Full time – RN position
Hours of work: Monday to Friday – 8.00am – 4.30pm (excluding public holidays)
Salary: $97,333 - $103,994 pa
Salary packaging up to $15,899.94 pa.
Subsidised accommodation for candidates outside of the Barkly region
Up to $5000 relocation assistance and up to $5000 repatriation assistance.
6 weeks annual leave as well as personal/career's leave up to 10 days per year
Study leave can be negotiated
Remote retention allowance of $750

Clinical Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable legislation and common law relating to the practice of registered nurses including duty of care laws.
- Participate in all areas of primary health care service delivery including (but not limited to)
- Delivery of age-appropriate checks, Immunisation program delivery, Women’s health
- Program delivery, child health program delivery, sexual health and chronic disease management.
- Undertake a wide range of nursing duties including (but not limited to) general patient
- Assessment, undertaking ECGs, specimen collection, provision of wound care and
- provision of chronic disease management.
- Actively participate in the completion of health checks on all eligible clients, care plans and team care arrangements on all eligible clients including regular reviews of clients with a chronic disease.
- Check, prepare and administer all medications as per CARPA Manual and in accordance with state legislation, (AHPRA) registration and as guided by the General Practitioners or the Pharmacist.
- Respond to client enquiries on health-related issues and provide education to clients and families on care including chronic disease management and health promotion and prevention.
- Carry out immunisations, and document them in the electronic records for all clients in accordance with the state immunisation schedule.
- Ensure review and recall processes are in place to promote ongoing health care.
- Facilitate telehealth where required to promote continuity of patient care.
- Liaise with the Clinical Services Manager and the clinical team on issues relating to clinical practice and safety. Initiate appropriate measures where applicable.
Essential skills and experience:
- Must have current AHPRA registration.
- NT Working with Children Check (Ochre Card) and Police check.
- Ability to communicate sensitively and culturally appropriate to support the delivery of programs and services.
- Current certification to give vaccines in the Northern Territory or ability to achieve this.
- Experience, skills and knowledge in multidisciplinary teamwork and conflict management.
- Experience in coordinating and facilitating clinical and informed education practices against the requirements of this role, including supervision of staff and the ability to work with minimal supervision, maintain lines of accountability, set work priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work in a remote environment.
- Current Driver’s license.
- Must be Fully COVID-19 Vaccinated + Booster.
