The Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with specialist skills in the PARU to join our dynamic unit where team work is paramount. You will join a workforce of nursing professionals to care for patients after surgery.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• To provide customer focused holistic nursing care
• Deliver evidence based nursing care
• Maintain effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure ongoing patient care and staff safety
• Engage in a positive team culture

Essential qualities:

• Current Registration with AHPRA - Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PARU in an acute hospital
• Post graduate certificate in Recovery or working towards ideal but not essential
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and within a team
• Intermediate computer skills
