Bankwest's Technology & Service Management (TPSM) Division is part of CBAs Global Technology Services which is responsible for the Run and Change activities to ensure delivery of Bankwest and Group IT services and strategies.

The Network Services Platform is part of TPSM which is one of the largest IT functions in Western Australia. The Division works on a wide variety of technologies and initiatives with the support of teams and platforms and leading ways of working to deliver what matters most to our customers.

• Agility - Enable Velocity by delivering network and security services that can be consumed by tribes and platforms
• Performance – Build strategic capability to enable and support the GTS and Bankwest Strategy

An exciting opportunity for an experienced cyber and network Security Engineer with an appetite for continuous learning to join the team.

In this role, you will work across multiple technologies and platforms, and be accountable for delivering security services that support our customers and colleagues.

As well as ensuring Security Platform devices are operating and performing within Bankwest Risk Appetite, you will also contribute to improving operational capabilities and velocity through automation, optimisation and continuous improvement.

The successful applicant will be customer focused and enjoy working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders from a range of areas including customers, business units, service providers, security advisors, architects, developers, and software engineers.

Key Deliverables include:

• Operation and optimisation of Network and Security Devices (firewalls, F5s, proxies, security gateways, Cloud technologies, certificates, encryption, etc)
• Automation of security devices and services
• Delivery of strategic and BAU Network initiatives
• Security Consultancy, Design and thought leadership to other technical teams and platforms
• Contributing and improving supporting documentation and operating procedures
• Participate on an on-call roster as required

We’re interested in hearing from people who

Pride themselves on developing and deploying high quality code, creating innovative software solutions

• Have advanced technical hands-on experience with Firewalls, F5s, bluecoat proxies, and CISCO router/switching
• Are Knowledgeable of microservices architecture and restful API design patterns
• Demonstrate high level coding/scripting and automation/CICD toolchain capability e.g. Stash, Ansible, PowerShell, Python
• Are comfortable creating Restful APIs in accordance with industry standards
• Have solid hands-on experience in full-stack software development within an agile/DevOps environment
• Are constantly are thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.
