About the role:
We have an exciting role available for a Senior Womenswear Buyer to join our Glue Buying Team. Reporting to the Group General Manager – Accent Lifestyle, your responsibilities will include purchasing a product range which is consistent with the Glue Brand, ensuring gross profit dollar and margin are maximised. This role will manage and be hands on with Womenswear.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Communicate and agree on range plans with the GM
• Collaborate with the Planner on the brand build and strategy
• Review and analyse previous sales and trend history
• Agree on promotions and offers with the planning team
• Review item sales and recommend appropriate action re markdowns/repeat orders/consolidations
• Provide weekly feedback to suppliers on performance of product
• Negotiation with suppliers on price, terms and lead time
• Conduct regular Store visits to ensure that ranges are displayed to best commercial effect and to address and action any retail feedback or QC issues as required
• Work in a positive, productive and supportive manner to help others
• Provide direction and guidance to Team Members through setting clear expectations

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

• Demonstrated 2-3 years in a similar position
• Degree qualified
• Intermediate to advanced Excel
• Effective communication with suppliers
• Affiliation with Accent Group Core values and “Make It Happen” attitude.
