The role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Field Service Technician- Mechanical U/G Coal to join our service department based out of our Mackay branch. The role is responsible to ensure efficient maintenance of our client's fleet of Sandvik Miner/Bolters.
Areas of responsibility
- Carrying out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis work on U/G miner/bolters.
- Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
- Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
- Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
- Adhering to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies
Your profile
You have a qualification in a mechanical trade plus a minimum 3 years' post-trade experience. Experience with U/G Coal Miner/bolters is essential and previous experience with Sandvik equipment will be looked upon favorably. You have a strong commitment to EHS as you keep safety at the forefront of everything you do.
