About the role:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our IT team in this permanent full time role. Reporting to the Manager, Merchant Systems, develop, deliver and support full-stack software solutions that meet the requirements of internal customers and to support the strategic direction for the technical and business initiatives undertaken by the Merchant Energy team.

Duties:

• Application development, maintenance and enhancement tasks.
• Carry out application-level database administration.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of entity relationship data models.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide solutions
• Assist System Admins and Support Specialists in day-to-day operational tasks

Skills and experience:

• Experience of Object-Oriented programming practices
• Skills and experience in analysing business processes and requirements, and the ability to prepare functional and support documentation.
• Self-motivated, enjoys working in teams and also autonomously
• The skills required to communicate effectively and build good working relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SDLC techniques
