About the Role

As the Spa Manager for Park Club Health & Day Spa, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the Health & Day Spa in line with Hyatt International’s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.

Managing a team of 15, you will support the Hotel Manager in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Manage the Park Club operationally on a day to day basis ensuring it runs smoothly, with all staff understanding the Spa’s philosophy – Beauty from within
• Manage the Health Club facilities and membership base through the relevant software
• Manage all guest and member expectations throughout each visit and their experience with Park Club
• Ensure communication throughout the Park Club is open and all relevant information is passed on
• Conduct fortnightly payroll with the assistance of the Human Resources department and Payroll team
• Assist the Hotel Manager in putting together the budgeting and forecasting for the department
• Ensure the generation and retention of members and spa guests are high
• Oversee payroll budgets including rosters and departmental manning
• Implement, train and support the Park Club team in spa therapy, retail and reception duties
• Oversee payroll budgets including timetabling and rosters
• Implement, train and support the Park Club team
• Interview potential associates in liaison with the Human Resources department
• Conduct training courses for new and current associates
• Monitor and oversee the facility and liaise closely with Engineering and Housekeeping to ensure the area is always clean, safe and well maintained
• Identify market trends and ensure Park Club retains its competitive edge

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or diploma in Spa Management
• A relevant degree or diploma in Beauty/Massage or Spa Therapy
• Previous experience in a Spa Management position along with strong experience in Spa Therapy
• Proven leadership skills with an ability to lead, motivate and guide a team
• Demonstrated ability to maximize sales, control payroll costs and manage budgets
• Proven experience in providing exceptional customer service in accordance with brand standards
• The ability to engage, lead and motivate a team
• A commitment to health and wellness
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail along with exceptional organisational and time management skills
• The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of five-star grooming standards
