Parks and Gardens Labourer

Council is seeking to appoint Parks and Gardens Labourers to contribute to Council’s success. Council are seeking expressions of interest for permanent, part time and casual workers to be based in either Gladstone, Tannum Sands or Miriam Vale.
About the Role
The purpose of this position is to support Council by undertaking a broad range of maintenance in horticulture, landscape, arboriculture, mowing, playgrounds, public amenities, litter collection, infrastructure and plant operation. You will perform your duties as part of a team that is responsible for the upkeep and presentation of Council’s parks, reserves and urban streetscapes in accordance to Council’s priorities and standards.
To be successful in this role you will possess
1. Labouring skills to carry out maintenance activities daily
2. Be able to work independently and as part of a team
3. Enjoy a physical, hands on job
4. An interest in gardening and horticulture
5. Experience and competency operating under a current Medium Rigid (MR) licence
