The role will lead and implement health and safety initiatives creating a standardised WHS Framework and instil a WHS culture across the entire business.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate WHS activities across the different locations and contribute to the development and implementation of plans regarding key health and safety strategies
- Assist in developing Return to Work programs to ensure best practices and procedures are in place for injured workers to return to pre-injury duties
- Prepare and deliver appropriate training and education materials
- Develop, implement and maintain ASNZS4801 framework and compliance for all sites
- Supervise the investigation of all accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe working conditions
- Previous WHS Management/Coordination experience from a blue collar/high risk industry (open to industry)
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety
- Strong RTW experience with good knowledge of Workers Compensation processes
- Strong legislation and policy knowledge including ISO45001, 9001 and CoR
